  • How does online tutoring work?
    You can select a suitable coach via the website. Here you will find an overview of all coaches. After you have selected and booked an appointment directly via the website, you will receive a zoom link in a confirmation email. Ten minutes before the lesson starts, click on the zoom link and you will be taken to the online classroom. Your coach will also join shortly. Learn here what exactly Zoom is.
  • How does the subscription system work?
    The coaches determine the price per 55-minute lesson themselves. Each coach has the option of buying 6-session subscriptions at a volume discount of 7% and 12-session subscriptions at a volume discount of 12%. You pay 10 CHF per lesson as placement fee to WebLearning here directly on the website. At the end of the month the booked coach will issue you an invoice by e-mail. All your lessons for a month are listed on the invoice. If you buy a 6-session subscription, you have a contingent of six lessons. So you can book a lesson six times with the selected coach - without having to pay again each time. After each booking of an appointment, the system automatically debits a lesson. After the subscription has been used up, you have to choose a price plan again (single lesson, 6-session subscription, 12-session subscription).
  • How do I book a lesson?

  • What technology do I need for the online tutoring lesson?
    The prerequisite for an optimal online tutoring lesson is a stable internet connection. The tutoring lessons can take place on the computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. However, we recommend that you do the online tutoring lesson on your computer, laptop or tablet and not on your smartphone. The screen there is often too small and you may not see what is written.   • Are there different prices depending on the tutor?
    Yes. Each tutor decides for himself how much he wants to earn. You can find the price to be paid for a lesson of 55 minutes here directly with the tutors.
  • How many tutoring lessons should I book?
    At the beginning we recommend booking a single lesson to see if it harmonizes with your tutor. If it suits you and you would like to book online tutoring lessons over a longer period of time, we recommend that you buy a subscription plan so that we can accompany you for longer.   • How does the tutor see what I write?
    On the one hand, you have the option of uploading photos of your materials directly here to your tutor's folder on the website. On the other hand, you can quickly send files via Zoom during the lesson. Of course you can also join the online tutoring lesson via touch laptop or tablet - then you can write directly on the digital paper. Your tutor can then see everything you write using the split-screen function. Be creative. There is also the option to join the Zoom meeting with your computer and at the same time with your smartphone.   • In which language is the tutoring offered?
    Basically, the online tutoring lesson is offered in German. However, we have tutors who can teach in other languages (English, French, Portuguese, Greek, Spanish, etc.). Ask us via e-mail whether your desired language is compatible with your chosen subjects is.

  • What is Zoom?
    Zoom is an online service (a kind of video chat) that is ideal for online tutoring lessons. Zoom has proven itself especially in schools during the Corona period, as it is easy to use and does not require registration. We recommend downloading Zoom here before your first tutoring lesson. After booking, you will receive a zoom link by email within a few hours, which you can then click on shortly before the start of the online tutoring lesson. You will now automatically be taken to the online classroom. During the lesson you have the possibility to share your screen with Zoom. The tutor does this too. So you can see each other's screens at all times.
  • Do I need a camera? Do I need a microphone?
    You don't need a camera to book a tutoring session with WebLearning. If you want, you can turn on your camera so your coach can see you. But if you prefer, you can leave the camera off all the time. You need a microphone to communicate with your coach.
  • How do I become a tutor?
    To become a tutor with us, you need to fill out the form on the website. We will check this and then invite you to an interview. In this conversation we explain how web learning works. Quality tutors are very important to us. For example, we ask technical questions during the meeting. After the meeting, the Web Learning team will discuss internally whether we will list you as a tutor on the website. After positive feedback from us, we will put your profile online on the website. However, we reserve the right to carry out regular quality checks and record every online tutoring lesson for seven days to ensure quality.
  • Can I have my Matura thesis proofread by WebLearning?
    Of course. Since this is an individual request, we ask you to contact us either by e-mail at info@ web-lernen.ch or 076 701 04 71. You can then tell us how many pages your work consists of and by when you want the proof to be corrected. We will then look for a professional and expert coach for you and suggest a fair price.
  • How do I connect my Google calendar to manage my availability?
    It is important that you as a coach make sure that your availability is always up to date.
